FineWaters Taste & Design Awards 2022

I Won the Bronze Medal at the FineWaters Awards 2022!

I am very proud to announce that for the second year in a row I have won a bronze medal at the FineWaters International Water Tasting Competition.

After many months of preparations, the FineWaters International Water Tasting Competition TASTE & DESIGN AWARDS 2022 was held in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 27th, 2022.

As FineWaters Society describes us: “Water is not just water”. It has terroir, comes from a real place, holds experiences, and gives wellness. Water deserves attention.

Jury Panel

The competition was conducted by a six-judge panel of professional and experienced international water sommeliers and experts. Consisting of:

• Justin Takashi Glascock: is a water sommelier certified through Fine Waters Academy.
• Simona Celante: is a Certified Water Sommelier and the Co-Founder of Tahoe Artesian Water
• Ashley Epperson: is the COO and Co-founder of Salacious Drinks LLC.
• Martin Riese: leading certified Water Sommelier in the world.
• Michael Mascha: Founder of FineWaters.
• Elena Berg: is a Certified Water Sommelier and an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at The American University of Paris (AUP)

Prize Won: Bronze Medal for STILL Super Low Minerality

Once again, this year I was one of the Top 3 Still Waters with the best Super Low Minerality, resulting in the Bronze Medal. I am very proud of myself and very thankful for this recognition. My subtle taste and terroir are determined by the type and amount of minerals it contains. The type of minerals can be found in the water’s analysis of the source: the Lavanttal in my home region in Austria.

About The Fine Water Society

The Fine Water Society (FWS) was founded in 2008 to create a global forum and further enhance Fine Water’s visibility and convey the idea that water is not just water, but a natural, unprocessed product with terroir and unique characteristics. The FWS allows brands, distributors, and individuals to share information and create awareness of the category, differentiating themselves from the commodity bottled waters.

Final Words

I am already looking forward to next year’s competition where I’ll be more than ready to compete again in this category and… maybe I will surprise the jury competing in a brand new category. I am ready for the gold medal! Here we go!
